TOPCOAT FOR ANTIQUE FURNITURE
EXCELLENT SCRATCH RESISTANT TO SCRATCHES
This clear coating gives a special antique finish to furniture, which is very lustrous, while exhibiting good hardness and abrasion resistance to scratches. It is the favourite of furniture artisans and restorers.
WHERE TO APPLY: wooden furniture and items in countryís antique style.
HOW TO APPLY: by brush/spray.
ON NEW WOOD: apply one coat after thinning with 30% of nitrocellulose thinner KK 3105 on our previously base coated surface (NU 5020 sanded with 320 grit). If you want to apply a second coat, wait for 12 hours then sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Final drying: 12 hours.
If you want to colour the wood, use the HC 33xx Waterbased Stain before applying the basecoat NU 5020.
ON PREVIOUSLY COATED WOOD: for the repair of an antique furniture, remove the old coating by sanding with 80-150 grit sandpaper. Apply the basecoat NU 5020 and 1 coat of nitrocellulose topcoat NF 5030. If you want to apply a second coat, wait for 12 hours then sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Drying time for the topcoat: 12 hours.
